Introducing Calecim® at Black House: Stem Cell Science for Hair Regrowth – But Does It Really Work?
Blog Post:
If you know me, you know I don’t back a product unless I believe in it. I’m always on the lookout for the next innovation that actually delivers – and right now, I’m trialling something that could be a real game changer for those experiencing hair thinning and early-stage hair loss: Calecim® Professional Advanced Hair System, powered by their patented PPT-6technology.
So… What
Is
Calecim®?
Calecim® is a stem cell-based treatment that’s been making waves in the world of hair regrowth and skin regeneration. Its hero ingredient – PPT-6 – is a patented mix of growth factors, proteins, and exosomes derived from ethically sourced umbilical cord lining stem cells. It’s protected by patents in over 20 countries and developed by CellResearchCorp, a biotech company with a serious reputation for science-backed skincare and regenerative technology.
This isn’t another caffeine tonic or rosemary gimmick. It’s bio-signalling tech designed to actually communicate with your follicles at a cellular level, telling them to behave more like they did in your 20s.
How Does It Work?
Calecim’s Advanced Hair System works by:
Activating follicle stem cells, nudging them from dormancy into a growth cycle
Reducing inflammation in the scalp – especially helpful for those dealing with scalp stress or sensitivity
Increasing hair density and thickness by prolonging the anagen (growth) phase
Speeding up post-treatment recovery (it’s often paired with microneedling for maximum effect)
You apply it via pipette directly to the scalp (after microneedling for best absorption), and results are typically reported after 6 weeks – with continued improvement over 3–6 months.
Who Is It For?
✅ Ideal for clients with:
Early-to-moderate male or female pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia)
Postpartum hair shedding
Stress-related thinning
Menopausal hair changes
Hair transplant aftercare to support healing and boost regrowth
Anyone looking to strengthen their hair density and quality
Who
It Won’t Work For
Like anything, Calecim isn’t a miracle fix for every type of hair loss. It’s important to manage expectations and match the right treatment to the right condition.
❌ Not suitable for:
Scarring alopecia (such as lichen planopilaris, frontal fibrosing alopecia etc.), where hair follicles have been destroyed
Completely bald areas where there are no active follicles
People with certain underlying medical conditions affecting hair loss unless under clinical supervision
If the follicle is dead and the skin is scarred, no stem cell signal can wake it up – so it’s essential to assess suitability before starting.
My Personal Trial – No Fluff, Just Facts
I’m currently trialling Calecim® myself – and I’m going to be completely honest with you about the results.
As someone with male pattern baldness, I’ve tried a few things over the years (some worked, most didn’t). I’ll be documenting my journey and posting before and afters at the 6-week mark, as well as sharing my full experience – what it felt like, how my scalp responded, and whether I noticed any real change.
If it works, I’ll be shouting it from the rooftops. If it doesn’t – I’ll tell you that too.
What’s Next?
If the results are promising, we’ll be introducing Calecim® as an in-salon treatment, paired with microneedling, and also stocking the homecare products so you can continue the progress between visits.
If you’re interested in trying this alongside me, or want to be one of our first clients once we launch, get in touch and I’ll keep you in the loop.
Let’s see what stem cell science can really do.
